Description

The SCM DMC SD 70 is a highly versatile wide-belt sander designed to excel in demanding furniture applications, delivering exceptional finishing quality on veneered and painted panels thanks to its extended 2,620 mm sanding belt and electronic sectional pad. Compared to earlier models (SD 10, SD 30, SD 60), the SD 70 stands out with its long-belt system, which improves cooling, reduces dust adhesion, increases belt life, and minimizes downtime. Its operation is further simplified by an automatic electro-pneumatic tensioning and centering system for the feed belt—requiring no operator adjustment—and by electronically controlled belt oscillation via photocell for maximum stability and reduced risk of breakage. The machine also features the advanced Eye-S control interface with a touch-screen LCD and storage for up to 120 work programs, providing faster setup, safer operation, and greater ease of use than the previous models.
